Witcombe Festival is continuing to closely monitor the COVID 19 situation and is exploring a number of options regarding the event this summer. All of our staff are working tirelessly to prepare for a variety of scenarios come

August Bank Holiday Weekend. We want to provide fans with the amazing experience only Witcombe can offer, whilst ensuring the safety of our amazing fans, our incredible artists and the wider Witcombe team. We are continuing to closely follow government guidelines, and are seeking expert advice, as the lockdown is lifted. We urge our fans to continue to follow regulations in this period.

We are aware other August Bank Holiday festivals have been cancelled. However, this is due to the much larger builds of sites such as Reading and Creamfields, rather than the expected state of the virus come the end of August. We have a very close relationship with our amazing build team who will be able to put our site together in a much quicker time frame. Witcombe Festival is, and has always been, committed to offering our incredible fans an unforgettable experience and we are taking all possible measures to ensure we can do this in a safe environment.

Festival founder Joe Pointon said “The whole team is working incredibly hard at this difficult time and we ask our fans to be patient whilst we monitor the situation and explore our options so we can make the best possible decision for the event.”

Pointon also urged fans not to listen to rumours or hearsay regarding Witcombe Festival 2020 and explained “the only reliable source for updates and information is our website or official social channels and emails.”

Pointon added he wanted to thank all of Witcombe’s fans for their incredible support throughout this difficult period. “The reaction to our Witcombe Live Lounge sessions has been incredible, with thousands tuning in each week for our wide variety of top DJ talent. The engagement has been huge ,and we want to continue to build on this project. It’s been great to support local artists through what has been a really difficult period for them. To do this whilst keeping our incredible fans entertained is really great” said Pointon. “The positive messages we’ve received are amazing and it’s always great to hear from fans who’re enjoying what we’re trying to do at Witcombe.”

Please be assured that in the unfortunate event of a cancellation all tickets will be refunded or rolled over to next year’s festival. The choice is entirely up to you.

More updates will be released in the coming weeks as the situation develops. We are committed to offering our fans the amazing Witcombe experience and hope that we are able to do so come August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Until then we hope everyone is well and staying safe in these difficult times.

The Witcombe Festival Team.
